Apr. 3rd, 2008 03:19 pmTonight kicks off my 'Spring of Concerts.' We're going to see a conglomeration of bands for one of the local radio stations spring fests. I believe the bill is Sick Puppies, Hurt, Chevelle and Three Doors Down as the headliner. Not totally my cup of tea but the boy likes it and I can't pass up live music of any sort. Then in less that 2 weeks MCR in KC! Followed by MCR in StL, possibly the Cab in Dallas and finally Panic in KC.
I managed to get a speeding ticket of all things yesterday. They were speed trapping this one stretch of road that has 3 different speed limits on it and caught me when I didn't slow down fast enough. Bastards! I haven't had a speeding ticket since college.
Finally, they Boy's dad arrives tomorrow for a weekend of awkwardness and small talk. They have a decent relationship that revolves around general sports knowledge and the ability to rattle off the current scores of whatever sports season we are in. I've never met the man so this will be interesting.
It's gonna rain cats and dogs tonight so hopefully I won't be paddleing my way home from the concert.
