Aug. 4th, 2008 10:40 amIt's been forever I know. The last few weeks have been crazy and exhausting. The air conditioner is out at my work. I'm in a manufacturing facility that was built 27 years ago and the air conditioning units have never been replaced. They have finally approved monies to completely replace the entire system but it's taking forever to get everything done. In the meantime the building was built with air conditioning in mind so airflow from the outside is terrible and the building hovers around 85 degrees F most days. That's horribly hot.
My little office has a window air conditioner that keeps me cool when I'm at my computer but unfortunately I cannot hide there all day. (Trust me I've tried)
The boy FINALLY trimmed up the goatee. A few of you who have seen the monstrosity that was growing on his chin will appreciate this fact. I only lament the fact that I never attacked him with a flat iron and got a picture. On it's last few days he hit 4 inches from his chin. It was driving me crazy! He is headed to a professional conference in Denver this week so he thought it was a good time to cut it off. I'll be a bachelorette for a full week while he's off geeking out about X-ray Diffraction and residual stress.
Finally saw the Dark Knight on Saturday and really enjoyed it. I don't have any major revelations to add to the other reviews that I've seen. It was good. CG was awesome. Heath Ledger was incredible and will probably get a nomination out of it.
Other than that I've had a weird resurgence of Roswell fic in my life. I think I ran across a pic of Brenden Fehr and felt the need to indulge. I love pulling an old fandom out and wallowing for a while.
