Friday afternoon is dragging by so slowly. I know that I have tons of stuff that I could be doing but I simply don't know where to start.  I managed to get myself up and out of bed this morning by promising my body a nap as soon as I got home.  That promise is what is going to get me through the next two hours. *sigh*

So I'm trying to modify my posture and the way I walk.  Due to a knee injury and a car accident I have over developed rear obliques and a false curvature of the spine because I have shifted my weight away from the damaged knee. My front obliques, transverse and lower abdominals are completely underdeveloped.  (Can you tell my mother is a rehab pilates instructor)  I never noticed how much I sit back in my body.  I've been walking around all week trying to remember to engage my stomach muscles to hold me up rather than my back and quadriceps muscles.  It feels really weird, like I'm shifting my whole body forward into my stance.  Apparently the only noticeable difference from the observer is the fact that there is a more natural curve to my back rather then the hyperextentsion that was there.
Hopefully if I can get myself used to the changes I won't have to deal with anymore random back spasms like I had around Memorial Day.  Right now when I get really exhausted or spend the entire day walking I can feel my back start to tense up and freeze.  Not fun.
