 All I need is a new fandom but....... can someone link me to a cw-rps primer? I've been reading some of the spn/J squared bigbang stories and I'm getting confused. 

Steve? whose Steve?  I'm up on the crossover guys from Angel but I'm getting lost.

I don't know that there is an actual CWRPS primer out there. For how huge it is, this fandom is very decentralized.

Jensen's friends, who are primarily musicians and sometime actors, often pop up in stories alongside other people from other WB/CW shows, primarily One Tree Hill (due to Chad and Jared being friends and Danneel and Jensen dating). It's a pretty tangled web. Feel free to ask for further clarification and I'll provide any info I can.

Despite that, it's a lovely huge fandom with lots of great fic. Enjoy!

Thanks for the info. Who is Riley? It took me forever to realize that Dave was David Boreanaz. I'll get there. I may have to go back and read some of the Micheal Rosenbaum/Tom Welling that I know there is a huge abundance of our there.

Riley is Riley Smith (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0809720/). He is an actor who has starred in a bunch of stuff you have never seen, and had tiny parts in stuff you have seen, but didn't notice him in. Riley is technically a WB actor because he appeared in a few episodes of Summerland.

He also has a band, The Life of Riley (http://www.myspace.com/rileysmithmusic), which shares a drummer and used to share a bassist with The Steve Carlson Band. They play frequently at the Hotel Cafe, like Steve does, and they toured the UK with Steve and Jason Manns last year after the Asylum UK Supernatural convention.

He also dated Danneel Harris for the four years immediately preceding the time she started dating Jensen, which makes for a nice little soap opera right there in real life. Though, by all appearances, things are fine between the three of them.

The only MR/TW fic I read is mixed in with J2, but I am sure there is some focused on only them out there.

And, yeah. The Js are a whole lot of pretty. Plus, everything about their lives and relationships lends itself to fic.
