It doesn't matter if you can't sing

Just made it back to Nashville after Chicago. Thank goodness it's a respectable 90 degrees here rather than the 50 degrees it was in Chicago. BRRRR.
I'm about ready to faceplant on my couch because I've had no sleep but first...
Just a quick recap.
Got to the HOB and ran into many LJ's I'm sure a list of everyone will be up later. The Chasez family was there for the first show and JC wished his Mom a happy mothers day. Then preceeded to perform his ass off. We were about 3 rows back from the stage and he was RIGHT THERE. His eyes were just soo blue and soo shiney and soo happy to be performing. He seemed to tone down the first show since it was all ages. He got most of the way through Dear Goodbye doing audience participatin on the refrain and then on the final verse he had a 'brain fart' (quoting him) and completely forgot the words. He was very embarrassed. He apologized all over the place and said that it was the first time that had happened on this tour and of course it had to happen the night that his mom was in the audience. He pulled it back really quickly and finished out the show. The last song was 100 Ways and although that is not my favorite on the CD it is definately my favorite live. He killed it. The entire floor was moving and jumping and dancing. It was awesome.
The second show he came out and said that his mom had gone home so things could get a little wild. And they did. I would have paid full price for him to just stand there and touch himself I think.
Anyway, he said that this was the first time he had done two shows in a night in a very long time and he planned to kick this show in the ass. He did. It was incredible, even more energy than the first show although you could tell he was tired. He got kinda goofy and pretty much messed up the lead in to Come to Me. But Dear Goodbye straight into the Game is Over chorus was fantastic and when he finished the chorus he goes 'Man, I love that'.
He completely rocked out on If You Were My Girl. That one part, you know the part, yeah, lovehimsomuch. He comes out to do 100 Ways for the last song and he says he doesn't want to leave this place awake. So he gives it everything he has. Best Performance Evah! IMHO
Any way I left on a huge JC high. It's been a while since I've seen someone give so much to a performance.
I'm tired now and ima go take a nap.
Oh and Erin, I think that the mystery is solved on the dancer. But I need a picture to prove it.

Date: 2004-05-09 12:03 pm (UTC)I have a fantastic one of her, but can't upload until I get home, which isn't until Tuesday (I'm still in Chicago, where I'm working the next 2 days). It probably won't be until late night Wednesday that I get it done, but I'll make sure you get it!
SO good to meet you! I'm sorry you couldn't hang around.
